This is the longest section of the MacLehose Trail, but it is also considered the easiest one. It leads you through the forest of Tai Lam Country Park and not, as before, along the west bank of the reservoir. After Pak Shek Hang you will continue your walk to Tuen Mun along the catchwater.

Highlights:  Tai Lam Chung Reservoir, suitable for jogging along the service road, beautiful picnic spot at Kat Hin Bridge where you can sit and enjoy your hike.

How to get there: Most people continue this section directly from section 9. If you not coming from section 9: Take bus 96M from Tsuen Wan MTR station to Tsing Lung Tau terminus go uphill, past Yuen Tun and Tsing Fai Tong. Please bring a map, it will be a bit tricky otherwise.

How to get home: You can take bus 67M, 67X to the Tuen Mun Centre and from here you can take bus 961, this bus will take you to Hong Kong island via the Western Harbour Tunnel.

Good to know
Since there is not a easy way to get back between sections 9 and 10 we suggest to do both at the same time. Remember it can be physically demanding to do such a long hike.
