This is again a paved trail that runs alongside a water catchment almost all the way. It is just a transition to get to section 8. However it will offer you some wonder views of Tai Tam Harbour and some great wildlife. Most part is flat and an easy walk, but the last part is uphill and pretty steep.

Highlights: Section 7 is all about views and wildlife. The fact that it’s an easy and flat walk, makes it a nice change to all the hilly trails.

How to get there: Take the bus no 14 from Chai Wan or Stanley, get off the bus at Tai Tam Reservoir North Stop. Walk around 150m to the start of section 7.

How to get home: You will end this section at Shek O Road right by a bus stop. Cross the road to take bus no 9 to Shek O, or if you remain on the near side of the road the bus will take you to Shau Kei Wan.

Good to know
On the very last part of the hike you can take a detour down to the beach before taking the stairs up to Shek O Road. A quite secluded little beach.
