Highlights: It offers you a fantastic panorama view over the city, Victoria Harbour, Quarry Bay, Jardines Lookout and Mount Butler. On the top of Mount Butler you only have one downhill left. It’s about 400 very steep steps down the hill, and the name “Jacob’s ladder” says it all!

How to get there: Starts at the top of Wong Nai Chung Gap Rd. Cross the road and follow Tai Tam Reservoir Rd up the hill. Take bus 6 or 66 from Exchange Square, and alight near the Cricket Club at Won Nai Chung Gap.

How to get home: Section 5 ends at Mount Parker Road. You can either walk the 3 km down to Quarry Bay, or continue onto Hong Kong trail section 6 directly.
