Highlights: Nice views over High Island Reservoir and stunning views over Long Ke beach.

How to get there: Take the MTR to Dimond Hill, take bus 92 from the bus station, get off at the terminus in Sai Kung. From Sai Kung it is easiest to take a taxi to the starting point “Country Park Visitor Centre at Pak Tam Chung” but you can also take take bus 94.

How to get home: The best way is to continue on to section 2. There is no access road, so you have to reserve a taxi and return on the same road, or walk back.

Good to know
Do remember to be prepared for the sun and bring enough water, this section is a good combo to do with section 2.
